Serving Communities, Loving All

Thanks to your generosity of time, talents and treasures, we are able to continually support various programs in local, national and global communities.

Last year we:

  • Helped feed 250 children at local schools every weekend with almost 8,300 bags of food
  • Built the 26th home through Habitat for Humanity
  • Packed 1,100 lunches for MUST Ministries’ Summer Lunch program
  • Welcomed a refugee family of six from Syria and helped with tutoring
  • Served 13 families from around the country at the Lighthouse Family Retreat
  • Gave almost 200 Christmas Angel Tree gifts for the foster children in Cobb County
  • Donated funds to help purchase a new water pump for the Navajos in New Mexico
  • Packed goody bags in appreciation for our police officers and fire fighters
  • Prepared and served lunch at the Elizabeth Inn Shelter monthly
  • Provided income for 2 families globally, through Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade program
  • Participated in Hunger Walk as one of the Top 10 Lutheran congregations
  • Did laundry for Elizabeth Inn Shelter residents monthly
  • Helped several families with temporary assistance due to unexpected life event
  • Delivered almost 1,200 pounds of rice to the refugees in the metro Atlanta area
  • Visited and helped at the Redeemer Soup Kitchen monthly
  • Provided several Tai Chi classes throughout the year
  • and much more
