Holy Trinity Youth News

All youth grades 6th-12th are welcome to join our Youth Ministries programs and events. We have regular Sunday programming and lots of events, retreats and summer camps. Come check us out!!

Our country, and areas of the Caribbean, were hard hit by natural disasters this past month. Our youth responded by doing a congregational “Hurricoins for Hurricanes” fundraising appeal. They were able to collect $1440 for Lutheran Disaster Response. Our prayers are with the many communities who were affected.

In September, our youth also served others by providing ‘sweat equity’ during Holy Trinity’s Day of Service. Youth fortified the playground with mesh to keep the mulch in, painted a 4-square court and refurbished the tennis court.

October, as always, will provide many opportunities for youth to gather in His name for fun, service and worship. This October is particularly exciting as we welcome our new Senior Pastor Mark Beatty. Several youth will be singing at his Service of Installation on October 1st.

On Sat. October 7, the youth will help staff up the Oktoberfest Kids Area and on the weekend of Oct. 13-15 we are planning a High School retreat in the North GA mountains that will include a service project, youth-led worship and, of course, campfires, s’mores and more!

We are blessed to have a group of 5 youth preparing to Affirm their Baptism (get Confirmed) on Sunday October 29 at the 11AM service – which also happens to be the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. We have been highlighting the 500th Anniversary in Confirmation by focusing on it in a 6-week series featuring the “Luther” movie. God is good!!

In peace,
Becky Pappalardo, Holy Trinity Youth Director
